Across Kylie’s career, she has provided strategic leadership in financial management, risk, human resources, systems improvement, compliance and workplace safety, while building strong relationships with boards, management teams, government agencies and international stakeholders. Her background includes leadership roles in law, trade services and more than 16 years in seafood industries. Her experience is supported by an MBA and governance credentials including GAICD. In addition to her executive career, she is actively involved in community leadership and currently serves as Chairperson of Uni Hub Spencer Gulf.

Matt Grant is the CEO of Australian Maritime & Fisheries Academy, appointed in June 2026.

Matt is an Australian certified Economic Developer and holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and Urban Geography and Graduate Certificate in Management.

He has over 15 years executive leadership and management experience in government, not for profit board experience as Director and Chair of Economic Development Australia, and as Managing Director of consultancy firm, Aqueous Management Systems. His proven experience includes:

• Facilities management

Mr Stehr is a prominent figure in the aquaculture industry with more than 50 years experience. His family holds a significant interest in the Southern Bluefin Tuna catch and Kingfish grow out facility. Mr Stehr’s achievements include:

• Founding member of Australian Bight Seafood.
• Founding member of Australian Tuna Boat Owners Association.
• Former Chairman of South Australian Marine Finfish Farmers Association.
• Chairman of Industry Training Council Advisory Body.
• Founding Director of Clean Seas Seafood.
• Board member of the South Australian Aquaculture Advisory Council.
• Awarded Officer of the Order of Australia (A.O.) in 1998.
• Awarded Honorary Doctorate by University of Sunshine Coast.

Mr Jeffriess has a Diploma of Education and a B.A .(Economics). His considerable experience in the aquaculture industry includes:

As Chief Executive of PIRSA, he oversees strategic initiatives that support the sustainable growth of South Australia’s primary industries, including agriculture, food, forestry and fisheries.
His leadership ensures alignment with state and national economic priorities, and he plays a pivotal role in emergency preparedness, response and recovery and biosecurity.
Mehdi holds a PhD in Marine Biology and Aquaculture from James Cook University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tehran University.

He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a recipient of the Australian Public Service Medal for his outstanding contributions to science-informed policy and primary industries management.

He has chaired and is a member of numerous national and state-level advisory boards and taskforces, and currently holds an Affiliate Professorial position at Adelaide University.
