Access & Equity:
AMFA is committed to the provision of a safe and inclusive teaching and learning environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
The Academy attempts to meet special requests where possible regarding access to class locations, class times and modifications to assignment and/or assessment requirements.

Health & Safety:
AMFA is committed to support the health, safety and welfare of students and staff by complying with South Australia’s work health and safety legislation, which includes the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA) and the Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012 (SA).
Students and staff also have a legal duty to take care and protect their own health and safety and to avoid adversely affecting the health and safety of students and staff.
Child Safety:
At the Australian Maritime & Fisheries Academy (AMFA), we are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people who engage with our training. We actively promote a child-safe and child-friendly environment where every student feels respected, supported, and protected from harm.
Our Child Safe Policy outlines the responsibilities, practices, and procedures that guide our approach to maintaining a safe learning environment for students under the age of 18. This policy reflects our obligations under the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017, the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016, and aligns with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
